BAUMGARTNER, Michael, a Representative from Washington; born in Pullman, Whitman County, Wash., on December 13, 1975; graduated from Pullman High School, Pullman, Wash., 1995; B.A., Washington State University, Pullman, Wash., 1999; M.P.A., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 2002; consultant; staff, United States Department of State, 2007-2008; member of the Washington state senate, 2011-2019; unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 2012; treasurer, Spokane County, Wash., 2019-2025; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Nineteenth Congress (January 3, 2025-present).
