FONG, Vince, a Representative from California; born in Bakersfield, Kern County, Calif., October 24, 1979; graduated from West High School, Bakersfield, Calif., 1997; B.A., University of California, Los Angeles, Calif., 2001; M.P.A., Princeton University, Princeton, N.J., 2003; staff, United States Representative William Marshall Thomas of California, 2003-2007; staff, United States Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, 2007-2016; member of the California state assembly, 2016-2024; elected as a Republican, by special election, to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Kevin McCarthy, and reelected to the succeeding Congress (May 21, 2024-present).
