HOUCHIN, Erin, a Representative from Indiana; born in Salem, Washington County, Ind., September 24, 1976; graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School, Scottsburg, Ind., 1995; B.A., Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.; M.A., George Washington University, Washington, D.C.; social worker; business owner; staff, United States Senator Dan Coats of Indiana, 2011-2014; member of the Indiana state senate, 2015-2022; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Fifteenth Congress in 2016; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eighteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2023-present).
