JAMES, John, a Representative from Michigan; born in Southfield, Oakland County, Mich., June 8, 1981; graduated from Brother Rice High School, Bloomfield Township, Mich., 1999; B.S., United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., 2004; M.P.A., Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pa., 2014; M.B.A., University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., 2015; United States Army, 2004-2012; business executive; unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 2018; unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 2020; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eighteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2023-present).
