MULLIN, Markwayne, a Senator and a Representative from Oklahoma; born in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Okla., July 26, 1977; an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation; graduated from Stillwell High School, Stillwell, Okla.; attended Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Mo., 1996; A.A.S., Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, Okmulgee, Okla., 2010; business owner; plumber; rancher; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Thirteenth and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2013-January 3, 2023); was not a candidate for reelection to the House of Representatives but was elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in a special election on November 8, 2022, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of James Inhofe, for the term ending January 3, 2027, and took the oath of office on January 3, 2023.
