RYAN, Patrick, a Representative from New York; born in Kingston, Ulster County, N.Y., March 28, 1982; graduated from Kingston High School, Kingston, N.Y., 2000; B.S., United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., 2004; M.A., Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., 2013; United States Army, 2004-2009; business executive; business owner; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress in 2018; Ulster County, N.Y., county executive, 2019-2022; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Antonio Delgado, and reelected to the two succeeding Congresses (August 23, 2022-present).
