SELF, Keith, a Representative from Texas; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., March 20, 1953; graduated from Tascosa High School, Amarillo, Tex., 1971; B.S., United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., 1975; M.A., University of Southern California, Los Angeles, Calif., 1981; attended the United States Army Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, Kans.; United States Army, 1975-1999, 2002-2003; defense contractor; county judge, Collin County, Tex., 2007-2018; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Eighth Congress in 2002; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eighteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2023-present).
