WILLIAMS, Nikema, a Representative from Georgia; born in Columbus, Muscogee County, Ga., July 30, 1978; graduated from Talladega High School, Talladega, Ala., 1996; B.A., Talladega College, Talladega, Ala., 2000; nonprofit executive; professional advocate; vice-chair, Democratic Party of Georgia, 2011-2013; acting chair, Democratic Party of Georgia, 2013; Delegate, Democratic National Convention, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020; member of the Georgia state senate, 2017-2021; chair, Democratic Party of Georgia, 2019-2025; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventeenth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2021-present).
